Staple Hill
Staple Hill is a Marilyn, 316m high, in the Blackdown Hills National Landscape, and also counts as a HuMP. The Marilyns are hills anywhere in Britain and Ireland with at least 150 metres of prominence, whatever their height.
Taunton is the nearest station, 5.5 mi (about 7 to 8 mi on foot): a full day on foot there and back. From Taunton it's about 3 hours to the summit. Bishop's Lydeard, 9.1 mi (about 12 to 13 mi on foot), is the only other station within 10 miles.
Stations within 10 miles of Staple Hill, nearest first. Walking distances are estimates from the straight-line distance and the type of ground, not a measured route. Check a map before you set off. Times use Naismith's rule and don't include stops.
