Tips for P600s by train
- Not every train calls at every small station, so check that the train you plan to catch actually stops at yours, in both directions.
- Trains on rural lines can be hours apart, and the last one back is often early. Check it before you set off and plan your descent around it.
- Check the timetable for the day you're travelling, not just the usual pattern: engineering works and seasonal changes are common on rural lines.
Every P600 and its nearest station
Each summit's nearest station with regular trains, tallest first. Walking distances are estimates from the straight-line distance and the type of ground, not a measured route. Check a map before you set off. Times use Naismith's rule and don't include stops.
