Dundry Down

233mM Marilyn

Dundry Down is a Marilyn, 233m high, and also counts as a HuMP. The Marilyns are hills anywhere in Britain and Ireland with at least 150 metres of prominence, whatever their height.

Parson Street is the nearest station, 2.9 mi (about 4 mi on foot), so the summit is within walking distance of the train. From Parson Street it's about 1.5 hours to the summit, 1 in 23 on average. Bedminster is next, 3.6 mi (about 4.5 to 5 mi on foot), and 21 stations are within 10 miles in all.

Dundry Hill is immediately south of Bristol, England: it includes farmland, a small number of houses and a church. It stretches east–west for some 2 miles (3 km). Most of the hill is within the district of North Somerset. At the hill's eastern end the southern slopes are within Bath and North East Somerset, and the northern slopes are within the city and county of Bristol, including the highest point in that county.
